The most awaited fashion party of the year, the MET Gala, was held yesterday and it certainly did offer more glamour than last year. This year's theme i.e. China - Through the Looking Glass, was embraced by the who's who of the Fashion world donning some really awe-inspiring ensembles. Amal Clooney looked stunning in a layered-crimson Maison Margeila gown. Diane Kruger and Lily Collins went offbeat by opting for pants and maxi skirt from Chanel Haute Couture with signature organza fabrics, pastel colours and intricate floral surface designs. What I like about Emily Blunt's and Olivia Wilde's Prada gowns was that they both were so apt for the event. The silk gowns had silhouettes and floral embellished prints inspired by the Chinese motifs. Peter Dundas did a great job designing the ravishing white floor-sweeping Roberto Cavalli gown for Kim Kardashian West which was as sheer as it could get. Oh I just love the intricate details on her gown with exquisite rhinestones, sequins and embroidery work. And once again the Dior brand ambassador, Jennifer Lawrence, left us awe-struck in that charming mid-riff baring gown. A list of the best dressed looks from the event can be scrolled over below.
